Personality and soul cards in tarot

(Note: I’m still a tarot novice, but when I started studying cards, this is what I learned, and still prefer. If anything else, this was really helpful for establishing a relationship with my first card.)
The personality card signifies your current life’s path. The soul card signifies your soul’s purpose (regardless of whether you believe in reincarnation, it represents your core, regardless of age, location, etc.).
For the personality card:
Add the month + day + year of your birthday.
(For example, mine is May 10, 1986. 5 + 10 + 1986 = 2001)
Add these numbers together.
(2001 = 2 + 1 = 3)
My personality card is 3.
If this number is a single digit (like mine is), the soul card is the same.
So my soul card is also 3.
If your personality number is greater than 9, you add those numbers together until you reach a single digit.
(For example, if your personality card is 11, you would add 1 + 1, resulting in a soul card of 2.
If your personality card is 19, you would add 1 + 9, resulting in 10, then add 1 + 0, resulting in a soul card of 1.)

My soul and personality both give me The Empress, which means a lot of different things for me, all pretty spot-on.
My Empress card is from @obscuragifts and she looks so beautiful on my altar. She’s 24k-plated and completely glows. It’s like a little screen that’s always playing the Empress.
