Altar tour! Here’s a simple setup for a bedroom altar.🌙

A bedroom altar is the perfect place for beauty and love magic, but like all altars, it can also serve more practical purposes. Aside from being a grounding spot that looks pretty, it can be used to charge up jewelry and makeup for special occasions, give offerings in honor of the home and relationships, or assist in dream magic.

This altar also sits in the light of the moon, so on stormy nights in Pittsburgh, I use it as a backup for charging.

Here are some of the elements I included. The pine moon tray is from @labend_home and is the perfect size for a smaller setup (and really beautifully-made).

— Incense
— Fresh flowers | I have roses and asparagus…and sticks
— Candles for color magic
— Favorite jewelry
— Crystals | I’ve been in love with the flower agate tower I purchased from @thehazelwitch earlier this season for fostering progress. Coincidentally, it also helps with insomnia.
— Cosmetics, etc. | In my unending journey for healthier and longer hair, I’m trying the sunstone elixir by @earthharbor, included in the June box from @goddessprovisions.
— Salt | One of my favorite materials in folk magic, salt can be used to cleanse and protect. I also love the folklore that it can detect the presence of witches, so I like to think of the salt always buzzing around in there.
— Offering trays
— Depiction of saint or diety | This is my favorite place to honor Mary Magdalene. I made the small set of icons by mod-podging classic art paintings of Mary (printed from my computer) onto a small stand I already had. (Swipe for a closer look.)
