I’m excited to share another little project I’ve been working on!🌜

I made my first prayer cards! They depict Our Lady of the Snows, a title of Mary originating in Italy. According to legend, around AD 350, Mary appeared in the dreams of a wealthy Roman couple and asked them to build a basilica in her honor. Though it was an especially hot day in August, she indicated that the designated location would be outlined in snow. The next evening a miraculous snowfall covered a nearby hill, forming the shape of a building. The area was staked off before the snow melted and a basilica was built.

I created the art based on my own interpretation of a winter Mary. I’ll include more of the symbolism in my stories today as well as a closer view (I’ll also add it to the corresponding highlight on my profile in case you miss it). The clothing is based on the style I use for my folk Mary statuettes—her cloak is the night sky.

The prayer cards are double-sided and include a devotion on the back. They’re also laminated, perfect for setting on your altar or keeping in a book.

I’ll be sending these out starting next week to all of my current Patreon members and anyone who joins before Christmas.

As always, so grateful for you guys.🖤
