Since the season is nearing to a close, I wanted to share a few of the summer’s new releases that I can’t wait to read. I’ve been singing their praises in my stories as I’ve received them over the past few weeks but wanted to post the stack before I do a deeper dive into my favorites. (Swipe for covers.)🌞

Ancestral Grimoire by @nancysageshadow. The planner in me is obsessed with this. In the first part, the author shares an overview of tarot and how it can be used in ancestor work. In the second, she outlines how to create an ancestral book of shadows based on ideas for each month of the year. For example, for August, you’ll find special spreads to discover and learn about past lives, how to make a rattle for calling ancestors, journaling prompts, and directions for creating a protective bind rune.

Hearth and Home Witchcraft by @comfycozywitch. Jennie’s works and platforms are the equivalent of spending a weekend with your favorite people. Her approach to magic is brimming with warmth and love and you can sense it from this book. Filled with rituals and recipes, it’s accessible to the hearth and kitchen witch across a number of practices. I especially love the introduction to home deities and ways to invoke them in your home blessings.

The Big Book of Candle Magic by @jacki.smith.official. I can’t shut up about this book. In addition to what you’d expect on candle styles, creation (i.e. recipes for dressing), pyromancy, etc., Smith also includes valuable information on intent, casting (such as divination exercises), and extensive indexes (spells, herbs, symbols, and more). It’s one I’ll be referencing a lot.

Twist Your Fate by @thetarotlady. This is perfect for a practitioner who has a general grasp of tarot and astrology and wants to make them work in real life. After a basic (but comprehensive) review of astrology, including information on natal charts, nodes, transits, houses, etc., Reed shares how to use this information in conjunction with tarot and your intuition for success and purpose.
