I made my first seed cake of the year this weekend and a Lemon and Pins charm for luck.πŸ‹

Even though I change up my altar for every festival, I also really like how the transition looks between them. I offered up some seed cake yesterday, which represents new growth and preparations for spring sowing, but since we also had a winter storm on Sunday, it sat among jars of snow water (as well as my dwindling decorations from Christmas).

Here is a traditional Lemon and Pins charm:

A lemon stuck with pins of many colors brings blessings into the home, signifying that your life will be harmonious and joyful. Be wary, as the presence of a black pin will add troubles to your happiness. Use this knowledge when presenting a lemon as a gift.

(🌱Note: I used the lemon poppyseed bread recipe from @sallysbakeblog and it turned out really lovely.)
