Here are a couple of simple ways to use snow in spellwork:

⤫ My favorite is to keep a small jar of melted snow on my altar for the Candlemas/Imbolc season, symbolizing the defrosting of the earth and approaching spring. 🌿

⤫ Snow water is a more peaceful alternative to storm water, so while storm water might be used to galvanize an intention, snow water can be used to promote calm.

⤫ Say a blessing over a pinch of pine incense or cinnamon and put it in the middle of a snowman. Let her melt naturally and bring your message to the earth.

⤫ In Judika Illes’s Encyclopedia of 5,000 Spells, she has a little beauty spell that I like. This also inspired my Quick Snow Altar Setup, which I posted yesterday in the Reels section of my profile (it’s the most recent one):

Snow Queen Water

1. Gather handfuls of fresh, clean snow from the first snowfall of the season […].
2. Place it in a glass bowl and let it melt.
3. Add holly leaves and let this water sit overnight, exposed to moonbeams if possible.
4. Wash your face with the water for enhanced youth and beauty.
