Bedroom altar 2023
Quick stop at the bedroom altar to share a few things.🌞
In case you missed it last time, my bedroom altar is a space I dedicate primarily to love and beauty. I’m lucky that this corner of my dresser sits in the moonlight, so just like a moon altar, I can leave my jewelry and makeup here to charge.
I chose to honor Mary Magdelene in harmony with the theme of love. Along with her prayer card, I made a small display with a couple of favorite images of her in classic art. And I included some crystals I like for the bedroom (red jasper, rose quartz, smoky).
Of course, just like my main altar, a big purpose is to look nice, which is generally uplifting for the area (and my mood).
Similar to my relationship with makeup, I’m beginning to nervously approach the world of perfume, which has always been super intimidating (I’m afraid of overdoing it even slightly). Fortunately, my friend @auricblends generously sent some of their samples to play around with and the blends are SO lovely (there’s one called Pele that’s killer). Currently evolving into a ✨patchouly girl.✨
I also wanted to share the spell jar terrarium I made with a small class at @indigoowlcultureshop. I never thought of making a spell jar this way and love the idea of adding a living component. I’m planning on making a couple more for other spaces.🌿
