I got the idea for fire water from a wonderful article by Ember Grant (@poetofthewoods) in @llewellynbooks 2022 Sabbats Almanac. I’ve been using a lot of snow water recently, so this felt like a great way to recharge for spring.🔥

Since it’s a combination of the two elements, fire water works well for purification. I imagine it would also be good for protection and banishing. I’ll probably try it in my hair like I do for everything else to ignite strength. In the same way snow water promotes calm, it can be used to promote passion and power.

Initially, I held off on this ritual because I didn’t want to pay for floating candles, but then I realized I had a crapton of tea lights leftover from my wedding. They floated beautifully (and are so much cheaper).

I filled a bunch of my containers with water and added the following:

-willow (water element, for feminine energy)
-juniper (fire element, for removing negative energy)
-the white rose petals from my Mary flower arch (for beauty)
-smokey quartz (for detoxing)
-clear quartz (amplifies everything else)

Add your candles and light ‘em up. I performed this ritual immediately following yesterday’s full altar cleanse and it definitely powered up the whole space.🕯

(Note: Don’t drink this. Certain junipers are toxic.)
