The memory cloth is starting to take the look I was hoping for — different images placed somewhat informally while keeping the overall design pretty dense.
The lamppost I added was copied from the image below, which is from a little, local historic neighborhood that hosts a Victorian house tour every December.
I started going four years ago and have gone every year since.
Since most of the houses were built during the late 19th century, many of the residents furnish and decorate their homes in keeping with the Victorian era. But even the more modern homes go all out for Christmas.
Although Christmas isn’t my favorite holiday, the tour is something I look forward to every year.
My uncle passed away yesterday morning. Those are his initials to the left of the lamppost.
I also wanted to add the current year, 2013, within the cluster. If my math is correct, I should be able to fit at least four years on the fabric. I hope I’m able to keep pace for that long!
